Are mid-lifers facing a retirement crisis? New research

"

New research reveals that five million mid-lifers, aged 40–54, face a difficult retirement. A generation born between the early 1970s and late 1980s were too young to benefit from defined benefit pension schemes, but too old to feel the full benefit of automatic enrolment.

The research offers hope: start putting more into retirement plans now. There are at least 13 years before State pension age arrives, and increasing contributions now can make a material difference to your retirement outcome.
